Draiflessen owes its impressive charisma not least to its exceptional location and the beautiful outdoor area with its old trees. This magnificent park lent itself to making a long-cherished dream of Isabella van Hamme, director of Draiflessen Conference, come true: to hold a summer festival.

So it was fitting that the sisters Anouchka and Katharina Hack, talented young musicians on cello and piano, were also impressed by the imposing building after a concert in the fall of 2019. Inspired by the extraordinary house, they spontaneously expressed that this place would be an ideal location to host a music festival.

A vision found its beginning: a festival with young excellent artists. It was quickly agreed that the Duo Hack would take over the artistic direction in order to organize extraordinary concerts with the team of meetMUSIC. Already planned for 2020, Corona threw a spanner in the works. In 2021, however, the time had come: the Open Air got off to a brilliant start, with great musical diversity in a multi-faceted program that stirringly combined classical chamber music with jazz and pop. Well, and because everyone liked it so much, there is version 2.0 in 2022.

Don’t miss it – we look forward to seeing you!
