Christmas with the Zucchini Sistaz
A Christmas concert full of nostalgia, charm and musical surprises!
The bells rarely ring as sweetly as at the Zucchini Sistaz Christmas concert! At the end of the year, the three ladies in green take their audience on a musical winter journey around the globe – with Christmas carols from all over the world, charming swing and lots of festive atmosphere and instruments.
Anyone who thinks there used to be more tinsel hasn’t experienced Christmas with the Zucchini Sistaz! Here, the magic of Christmas is celebrated with all the senses: stylish green evening gowns, cracking nuts and peeling mandarins together, the familiar sounds from the nativity scene and an ABC of cookies to hum along to. And because real Christmas music needs more than just a recorder, double bass, guitar and trumpet provide the right swing. They are joined by festive sounds from the flugelhorn, clarinet, glockenspiel, accordion, ukulele, trombone and other surprises from the zucchini Advent calendar.
With their unmistakable blend of musicality, wit and retro charm, the Zucchini Sistaz have already shared the stage with greats such as Götz Alsmann, the SWR Big Band, the Pfister siblings and Gerburg Jahnke. Every year, they delight a steadily growing fan base at around 100 concerts, who appreciate their lovingly staged total work of art.
Sinje Schnittker, multi-talented singer on trumpet, trombone and other instruments. Born in Braunschweig and raised in the big bands of the republic, “Schnittchen Schnittker” provides the special sound colors of every song.
Jule Balandat, singing double bass player and expert in circus and conférence. Charming and captivating, the original Dortmund native leads through the program and proves that bassists can very well be in the front row.
Tina Werzinger
