“Hooray, we’re playing a concert”
An interactive children’s concert with The Twiolins
An enchanting story about friendship, courage and the magic of music – for children aged 4 to 9.
The squirrel and the hedgehog are inseparable, share a passion for music and have been practicing diligently with their violins. But how does it actually work – playing a concerto? In search of answers, they embark on an exciting adventure.
The story tells of two friends who venture from their own four walls onto the big stage. Their journey is full of challenges, but with joy, courage and the support of many companions, the end result is not just a concert, but something very special.
Joining in is twice as much fun! In this interactive program by the Twiolins, young listeners are introduced to the world of music in a playful way. With lively hands-on elements and wonderful violin music, they experience the power of sound at first hand.
The program is inspired by the children’s book “Hurra, wir spielen ein Konzert” by Marie-Luise Dingler, The Twiolins, and funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media as part of NEUSTART KULTUR.
Marie-Luise Dingler studied violin at the Mannheim University of Music and founded the successful violin duo The Twiolins together with her brother Christoph. Since 2025, she has been delighting audiences worldwide in a duo with Marta Danilkovich – from New Zealand to China and India. In addition to her concert activities and CD recordings, she devotes herself lovingly to her quail flock. During the corona lockdown, she took the opportunity to write down a story that she had long wanted to share with children. The book has now been published worldwide and Marie receives daily feedback that the little readers “would now like to give a forest concert themselves”.
