The soprano has already given two concerts in Draiflessen. Now Sarah Maria Sun is delighted to be nominated as Singer of the Year for Germany’s most important classical music award, which is considered the “Oscar” in the classical music scene.

Sarah Maria Sun became internationally known as a contemporary music performer. Today their repertoire includes over 2000 compositions from the 16th to the 21st century. She has performed with conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle, Ingo Metzmacher, Kent Nagano, etc. and appears regularly as a soloist in the world’s most prestigious concert halls: Suntory Hall Tokyo, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Auditorio National Madrid, Berlin and Cologne Philharmonics, at the Paris, Venice and Munich Biennales, the Vertice Festival in Mexico, and many others.

The OPUS KLASSIK is the prize for classical music in Germany. The promotion of classical music and especially the awarding of its artists is the goal of the Verein zur Förderung der Klassischen Musik e. V. (Association for the Promotion of Classical Music). The OPUS KLASSIK jury is made up of top-class representatives of the music and media industry.
