Violinist Mair\u00e9ad Hickey and solo harpist Agn\u00e8s Cl\u00e9ment open MeetMusic open-air festival<\/h3>\n

\nMETTINGEN. It was simply fabulous: The Mettingen Draiflessen Conference had invited to the “MeetMusic” Open Air. From the very beginning, the numerous visitors enjoyed the fascinating atmosphere in the beautiful park with its old, colorfully illuminated trees: an ideal place for summer music performances, as the first small festival last year had already shown.
\nTo kick off the three-day festival on Friday, the young Irish violinist Mair\u00e9ad Hickey and the French violinist Agn\u00e8s Cl\u00e9ment, who now lives in Brussels as a solo harpist, presented a ravishing romantic program.
\nFor the opening of the evening, the young artists had chosen the Duo Sonata in E-flat major by Louis Spohr. Spohr had composed it in 1806 in order to perform it on concert tours together with his wife. Matin\u00e9e with the duo “Hack & Friends” at the end of the MeetMUSIC Open Air Festival<\/h3>\n

\nMETTINGEN. The MeetMUSIC open-air festival is a small miracle: it is of excellent quality and at the same time it has kept its family character. On Sunday, host Isabella van Hamme of the Mettingen Draiflessen Conference gave a brief insight into the genesis of this magical festival in conversation with moderator Juri Tetzlaff at the beginning of the matin\u00e9e.
\nAlmost by chance she met the Duo Hack, to whom she entrusted the artistic direction. The sisters Anouschka (cello) and Katharina (piano) Hack are guarantors of quality, and it is equally important to them that the people are “nice”. This is the only way to create this trusting family atmosphere, which is transferred to the audience.
\nThe matin\u00e9e of the duo “Hack & friends” was dedicated to classical chamber music of the 20th century. The two sisters opened the concert, other artists joined in the course. During dialogues between the moderator and the instrumentalists, the visitors got to know the performers a little.
