Juri Tetzlaff was born in Karlsruhe in 1972 into a musical family; his father is a cellist and his mother a singer. Parallel to his studies in social and business communication at the Berlin University of the Arts, he started his television career in 1994 as a presenter of children’s and youth programs. Juri Tetzlaff is the founding presenter of the children’s TV station KiKA and puts around one million children to bed every day.<\/p>\n

Generations of viewers know him as a charismatic entertainer. In addition to his on-screen work as a presenter, singer and storyteller, he works as a scriptwriter and director for television productions. Since 2001, Juri Tetzlaff has been conceiving and presenting classical concerts for the whole family. His arrangements of Peter and the Wolf,<\/em> Carnival of the Animals,<\/em> Hansel and Gretel<\/em> and The Firebird<\/em> have appeared on CD. In 2014 he was awarded the Echo “Classical Music for Children”.
