SUMMARY:Luca Sestak Trio
DESCRIPTION:Tickets\nLuca Sestak Trio: fun\, ecstasy and goosebumps guaranteed!\nLuca Sestak is a sensationally unconventional pianist who knows how to captivate audiences with his music. Virtuosic and charming\, he moves between jazz\, classical\, pop\, blues and funk – and combines these worlds with humor\, temperament and an impressive lightness of touch. His playing ranges from fiery virtuosity\, in which the piano mechanics are pushed to their limits\, to touching minimalism\, in which every chord resonates. Goosebumps are no exception\, they are the program. \nLuca Sestak became a phenomenon at an early age: at the age of eleven\, he posted his first videos of his piano playing online\, which now have over 30 million views. His musical journey has taken him all over the world – to major stages\, international tours\, television and radio appearances and even concerts for heads of state. He has never stood still\, but has consistently developed his own style. \nWith his current album “Lighter Notes” Luca shows how Bach could sound in a jazz club\, how Chopin suddenly becomes funky – and how versatile a piano can be. For his own compositions\, he occasionally prepares the instrument with felt or adhesive tape and elicits surprising sounds and rhythms that have never been heard before. \nTogether with Nicholas Stampf (drums) and Luca Genze (double bass)\, Luca forms a trio. With passion and great musicality\, they create a concert experience that inspires\, surprises and lingers for a long time. An evening full of groove\, virtuosity and great entertainment – and above all: full of the joy of music. \n\nAudio sample \nFor privacy reasons YouTube needs your permission to be loaded. SUMMARY:Malte & Gutu | Family concert
DESCRIPTION:Tickets\n\nChildren’s concert\nSometimes it all starts with a ban. With Nico Gutu it was his grandfather’s accordion\, the buttons of which he was only allowed to touch in secret or under strict supervision as a child. It was precisely this “not being allowed” that sparked his curiosity – and shaped a path that today leads to international concert stages. At the age of eight\, he was finally given the instrument as a gift. A moment that was not just a gift\, but a promise. \n1992 in Chișinău\, the capital of Moldova\, Gutu has deep musical roots in the folklore of his homeland. His extraordinary talent became apparent early on: he was accepted to the Moldovan Music College in two subjects – accordion and conducting. But standing still was never his thing. His classical training took him to Weimar\, and scholarships took him to France and Italy. There he deepened his improvisational practice and developed the stylistic openness that still characterizes his playing today. \nA milestone followed in 2019: he became the first accordion student in Germany to study jazz and improvised music at the Hanover University of Music\, Drama and Media. A step that is emblematic of Gutu’s artistic self-image: boundaries are there to be expanded. \nToday\, Nico Gutu can be heard in over 20 countries. As a multi-award-winning musician – including first prize at the German Accordion Music Prize and the DAAD Prize – he delights audiences and critics alike. He has appeared as a soloist at the Heidelberger Frühling and the Beethovenfest\, performed at the Berlin Philharmonie and worked with renowned orchestras and artists. \nBut Gutu is more than just a virtuoso. He is a composer\, dramaturge\, director – an artist who thinks of the concert as a space for experience. His formats break with expectations\, question traditional concert aesthetics and combine classical music\, contemporary music and improvisation to create new narrative forms. Works such as “Pace mia Terra” and “Parcul” are exemplary of this expanded concept of the concert. \nBellows or buttons? Classical or avant-garde? For Nico Gutu\, these are not opposites\, but an open space of possibilities. His art thrives on the dialog between tradition and experiment\, between technical brilliance and conceptual depth. \n\nAudio sample \n

SUMMARY:Bill Petry - when the trumpet sings
DESCRIPTION:Tickets\n  \nIntimate jazz with an unmistakable sound\nBill Petry is a musician whose artistic vision extends far beyond the boundaries of jazz. His programs combine original compositions with surprising arrangements of pop acts and singer-songwriters – stylistically open\, personal and always with a clear musical signature. Bill Petry stands out above all for his exceptionally warm\, soft and “singing” trumpet tone. \nThis openness also characterizes his collaboration with artists from a wide range of genres: in addition to international jazz greats such as Riccardo Del Fra\, Billy Hart and Till Brönner\, he has also performed on stage with renowned classical musicians such as Daniel Hope and Lisa Batiashvili. \nGrowing up in Berlin as the son of parents from the artist and squatter scene\, Bill Petry came into contact with a diverse record collection at an early age. As a child\, he began to play the piano as a self-taught musician\, learning melodies by ear and composing his first pieces. From the age of eight\, he was a member of the Berlin State and Cathedral Choir and gained formative stage experience early on in major oratorios\, concert tours and TV productions. \nDuring Bill’s school days Till Brönner became aware of his extraordinary talent and gave him lasting support. This was followed by studies at the Berlin Jazz Institute with Gerard Presencer as well as formative lessons with Malte Burba\, among others. At the same time\, Bill Petry developed a busy concert schedule that took him to national and international stages. He tours regularly at home and abroad and has played concerts in Germany\, France\, Italy and China\, among others. \nThe legendary bassist Riccardo Del Fra described Bill Petry as a “true poet” who touches his audience deeply. Till Brönner says of him: “I only have to hear two notes – and I know it’s Bill Petry.” \nBill Petry works just as convincingly as a composer as he does as an instrumentalist\, for example for theater productions at the Deutsches Theater Berlin. His album “Close Your Eyes” (produced by Till Brönner) received high praise from media such as Jazz thing and RockTimes. As a trumpeter\, he is now one of the most distinctive voices of his generation – a musician who doesn’t want to impress listeners\, but to reach them. \nOn the meetMUSIC Open Air stage he plays in the line-up: \nBill Petry | trumpet \nChristian von der Goltz | Piano \nOlaf Casimir | Bass \nSebastian Merk | Drums \nHörpobe\nFor privacy reasons YouTube needs your permission to be loaded. SUMMARY:Peppino D`Agostino | Acoustic guitar in perfection
DESCRIPTION:Tickets\n\nFrom Sicily to the world: virtuosity\, heart and endless creativity\nA young Sicilian musician left his homeland for America 40 years ago to “play with the greatest guitarists”. Today\, Peppino D’Agostino himself is one of them. Since the early 1980s\, he has been shaping the second wave of finger-stylists who redefined the acoustic guitar. Open moods\, percussive elements and an unmistakably melodic signature form his style – complemented by warmth\, humor and a broad musical horizon\, which he calls “Minestrone music”. His virtuosity and emotional intensity continue to inspire a young generation of guitarists today. \nIn 2007 he won the biggest competition for fingerstyle guitar in Europe “Open Strings”\, followed by a “European Guitar Award” in 2009. \nPeppino has toured more than 30 countries\, played at major festivals and in important venues and performed on stage with personalities such as Tommy Emmanuel\, Leo Kottke and Eric Johnson. His albums have been released on internationally renowned labels and the trade press has hailed him as a “guitarist’s guitarist” and a “giant of the acoustic guitar”. As a member of the Pacific Guitar Ensemble\, he has worked with outstanding classical\, rock and crossover musicians; his song “Stammi Vicino” reached number one in the Italian iTunes rock charts. \nHe moves effortlessly between classical guitar and rock – a missing link between the two worlds. He recently toured successfully in China and composed music for the Monterey Bay Aquarium. His work also includes film music and soundtracks for international games. He also gives guitar workshops\, master classes and seminars worldwide. \nPeppino compares his art to Italian cooking: Mixing ingredients\, sensing nuances\, finding balance. This results in live programs that are constantly changing – full of energy\, lyrical passages and new musical paths that he opens up again and again with his signature guitar. No two concerts are the same\, but one thing remains certain: Peppino surprises and delights every time. \nAudio samplen: \n\nFor privacy reasons YouTube needs your permission to be loaded. SUMMARY:Trio Lézard - Master of the Trio d'anches
DESCRIPTION:Tickets \n  \nThe Trio Lézard has been delighting audiences and experts alike for more than 25 years – with an unchanged line-up of Stéphane Egeling\, Jan Creutz and Stefan Hoffmann. With its extraordinary continuity and artistic diversity\, the ensemble is now one of the leading trios d’anches in the world. Critics praise their “virtuosity” (Klassik.com)\, “beauty of sound” (FAZ) and “perfect ensemble playing” (Fanfare). A highlight of this recognition was winning the ECHO Klassik 2015 for the recording “Paris 1937”. To date\, the Trio Lézard is the only wind trio to have been awarded a record prize. \nAt the heart of the ensemble is the classical instrumentation of oboe\, clarinet and bassoon. This combination was first established in the 1930s by the “Trio d’anches de Paris” and elevated to an independent genre. The Trio Lézard sees itself in this tradition – but at the same time with the aim of continuing and developing it further. The long-standing collaboration between the three musicians is based on a balance of reliability and constant renewal. \nThe repertoire now includes more than 200 works from five centuries – from the Renaissance to the Classical and Modern periods. In order to do justice to this stylistic diversity\, the trio uses secondary and historical instruments in addition to the main instruments. For example\, saxophones\, sarrusophones and other reed instruments from the 18th and 19th centuries are used. What they all have in common is that they all produce sound with a single or double reed – and three of them always combine to form a trio d’anches. \nThe special mixture of tradition\, sound experimentation and artistic curiosity makes the Trio Lézard an ensemble that never ceases to delight audiences on international stages – unmistakable in its instrumentation\, passionate in its music. \nCast: \nStéphane Egeling | Oboes of all types and eras\, high sarrusophones \nJan Creutz | Clarinets of all types and eras\, saxophones \nStefan Hoffmann | Bassoons of all types and eras\, low sarrusophones\, musette de cour \nPortrait and audio sample: \nFor privacy reasons YouTube needs your permission to be loaded.
