SUMMARY:Duo Hack
DESCRIPTION:Tickets\n  \n“All people become sisters”\nA musical commitment to fraternity\nThe sister duo Anouchka & Katharina Hack\, cello and grand piano\, show the unconditional bond and solidarity of siblings with their new program “Alle Menschen werden Schwestern”. The pair interpret selected works with great sensitivity and impressive precision\, deliberately focusing on “sisterhood” as an alternative concept to the historically much-praised “brotherhood”. \nThe album’s musical selection includes compositions by famous sisters and siblings – including works by Nadia and Lili Boulanger and Fanny and Felix Mendelssohn. The highlight is the title piece by Ukrainian composer Marina Baranova\, which was inspired by Beethoven’s “Alle Menschen werden Brüder” and composed especially for the duo. The very first bars of this work reveal how masterfully Anouchka and Katharina Hack harmonize with great agility and deeply felt emotionality – an interplay that is second to none. \nFor over ten years\, the Hack duo has been delighting audiences on the most important concert stages and festivals in Germany and Europe and celebrating international success. The multi-award-winning cellist Anouchka Hack – winner of the Prix Firmenich at the Verbier Festival – and the award-winning pianist Katharina Hack\, winner of the Steinway Advancement Award\, not only impress with their virtuosically perfect interplay\, but also with their stylistic versatility and innovative approach to an extraordinary repertoire. \nA concert evening that promises more than just music – the sisters create a lively\, emotional dialog that captures the essence of brotherhood in all its facets. \nFurther information and current concert dates can be found at: www.cello-piano.de. \nAudio sample \nFor privacy reasons YouTube needs your permission to be loaded. SUMMARY:Friedemann Wuttke
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\n  \nAn evening with Friedemann Wuttke: a master of the guitar\nVirtuoso romanticism meets colorful impressionism \nImmerse yourself in the fascinating world of classical guitar music with Friedmann Wuttke\, one of the most important guitarists of our time. \nOn Easter Monday\, Friedemann Wuttke juxtaposes characteristic compositions from the Romantic period with impressionist music from France\, Spain and Brazil. The solo guitarist shares his appreciation of important composers with the audience and skillfully relates their musical language to one another. \nRomanticism has always been one of the most fruitful eras for the concert guitar. Guitar virtuosos from the classical and romantic periods have enchanted listeners with their art of playing. Fernando Sor from Spain and Ferdinando Carulli from Italy are unforgettable. Their music breathes the spirit of Beethoven and Mozart. \nIn the Brazilian national composer Heitor Villa-Lobos\, Wuttke has found a composer of the highest caliber. Villa-Lobos has combined the tonal language of Maurice Ravel and Claude Debussy and the counterpoint of Johann Sebastian Bach with the music of his homeland in an important work. And not only that. The Brazilian has revolutionized the sound spectrum of the instrument with new playing techniques. For a long time\, his technical demands were considered unplayable. \nFriedemann Wuttke repeatedly demonstrates his unerring instinct for original programming. As a seeker\, he looks around the world for important national impressionist composers and pairs their works with those of important composers from the Romantic period. His instrumental and musical qualities\, which meet the highest standards\, and his infectious enthusiasm make his concerts unforgettable experiences. \nThe proceeds from this year’s concert will go towards the renovation of the organ in St. Agatha. \nExpected program \nERIK SATIE Gnossienne No. 1\nERIK SATIE Gnossienne No. 3\nERIK SATIE Gymnopedie No. 1\nMANUEL DE FALLA Homenaje “Le Tombeau de Claude Debussy”\nMAURICE RAVEL Pavane pour une infante défunte\nCLAUDE DEBUSSY La Fille aux Cheveux de lin\nCLAUDE DEBUSSY Clair de Lune \nFERNANDO SOR\nTHREE MENUETS FROM OPUS 11\nMinuet in C major – Allegro\nMinuet in A minor – Andante\nMinuet in A major – Andante maestoso \nHEITOR VILLA-LOBOS\nCINQ PRELUDES POUR GUITARE\nPrelude No. 1\nPrelude No. 2\nPrelude No. 3\nPrelude No. 4\nPrelude No. 5 \nAudio sample: \nFor privacy reasons YouTube needs your permission to be loaded. SUMMARY:Barbican Quartet
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\n  \nBarbican Quartet: A unique chamber music experience at Draiflessen\nWe are happy to welcome the Barbican Quartet\, one of the most exciting new voices on the international chamber music scene\, live in Draiflessen. The ensemble inspires with a distinctive sound and profound interpretations that encompass both classical and contemporary repertoire. \nIn September 2022\, the quartet won first prize at the 71st ARD International String Quartet Competition and has received numerous awards for their outstanding performances. The quartet succeeds in bringing out the individual strengths of its members and at the same time merging them into a homogeneous whole. The Barbican Quartet are Amarins Wierdsma (violin)\, Kate Maloney (violin)\, Christoph Slenczka (viola) and Yoanna Prodanova (cello). \n“A desire to take risks”\, “not afraid to push the boundaries” and “it shows a clear signature: with its very individual sound\, with the emotional interpretations\, but also with the program.”\nThis is how Marcus Stäbler describes the Barbican Quartet’s playing in the “Album of the Week” on NDR Kultur in June 2024. \n“Well-balanced sound and perfectly coordinated.” BR Klassik’s review of the debut album “Manifesto on Love”\, released in June 2024\, is consistently positive. \nThe name says it all. The term “barbican” refers to the defensive structure in front of the gate of a medieval town. And this is how the four international musicians want to be understood: As defenders of the tradition of string quartet playing as well as its further development. The quartet gave its first concert at the Barbican Centre and the name is a reminder that the ensemble has close ties to London. \nThe Barbican Quartet has become an original voice on the international chamber music scene. It is not afraid to challenge with thoughtful\, powerful interpretations. The classical music journal Pizzicato praised the “intoxicating\, sometimes even a little boiling interpretations (…)\, which\, however\, cannot leave you cold” and honored the CD with the Supersonic Award. \nA challenge at its best. \nProgram*:\nWolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791)\nFive four-part fugues from the Well-Tempered Clavier Part II by Johann Sebastian Bach arranged for string quartet\, KV 405 (probably 1782/83):\n1st Fugue in C minor after BWV 871\n2nd Fugue in E flat major after BWV 876\n3rd Fugue in E major after BWV 878\n4th Fugue in D minor after BWV 877 in D flat minor\n5. Fugue in D major after BWV 874 Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy (1809-1847)\nString Quartet in A minor op. 13 (1827):\nI. Adagio – Allegro vivace\nII. Adagio non lento\nIII. Intermezzo. SUMMARY:Maik Krahl Quartett - In-Between Flow
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nMaik Krahl Quartett – In-Between Flow in Draiflessen: An extraordinary jazz experience\nEnjoy with us an extraordinary evening with the Maik Krahl Quartet and their new program “In-Between Flow” at Draiflessen. Til Brönner says of him: “Maik Krahl represents the current top German jazz trumpeter of his generation”. With his instrumental virtuosity and original compositions\, he delights his audience without any popular show effects. \nTrained by renowned teachers such as Till Brönner and Ryan Carniaux\, Krahl has developed his own unmistakable style. His sound is unmistakably his own creation. His playing impresses with its originality\, richness of facets and yes\, also with a surprising serenity. Anyone who gets involved will experience a veritable rollercoaster ride of emotions. \n“In-Between Flow”\, his third album\, explores the continuous development of the human being and invites you on a musical journey through emotional highs and lows. Krahl is accompanied by pianist Constantin Krahmer\, bassist Jakob Kühnemann and drummer Fabian Rösch. In 2023\, the up-and-coming jazz musician won the HI Five Music Award and has already won the Werner Richard – Dr. Carl Dörken Foundation scholarship three times – most recently with his quartet. \n“You learn a lot about yourself and the world and can get into a flow\,” explains Krahl\, expressing these intermediate currents with his music. With his third career move\, Krahl is finally leaving behind his fear of making a decision\, which the trumpeter boldly named on his debut album Decidophobia in 2018. \nYou can look forward to a jazz quartet that is savvy\, original and multi-faceted.

DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nChristmas music show to laugh and sing along to – with DAVID\, BEN and FINN\nLike life itself: an “impossible” swing trio\nExperience the magical “Christmas music show to laugh and sing along to” with DAVID\, BEN and FINN. This special show combines the best of musical virtuosity\, humorous interludes and a festive atmosphere – perfect for the pre-Christmas period. \nThere are three musicians who are at very different points in their lives. Each one is a sensation in itself. Their joint concert show promises a lot\, a lot. \nDavid mourns his earlier successes. With a wink\, he says of himself that he is a pianist in midlife crisis. \nBen\, on the other hand\, doesn’t know what’s happening to him. The ambitious trombonist wins one prize after another. \nFinn seems strangely enraptured when he twirls his sticks on the drums with such virtuosity that the audience catches their breath. \nAs life goes\, the three characters meet. They see each other. They recognize each other’s potential and the possibilities offered by a concert show as an “impossible” swing trio. \nThe name David Harrington is closely associated with witty show concerts on grand pianos\, among others with his duo partner Dr. Götz Östlind. He is an elemental force in the industry. The youngest musician in the trio is Finn Jakob Wroblewski. His extraordinary talent on the drums is undisputed. His brother Ben Matthis Wroblewski has won several prizes\, including at the national and state “Jugend Jazzt” competitions. \nThe experienced oldie has the contacts and the youngsters bring in the hopeful optimus of youth. And suddenly there it is\, the idea of spreading joy\, humor and lightness. Together\, David Harrington (piano)\, Ben Matthis Wroblewski (trombone) and Finn Jakob Wroblewski (drums) put on an original and rousingly funny show with vocals and wordplay. They mix their own brand new songs with evergreens from swing\, pop and musicals and present them in an extremely entertaining way. \nExperience Christmas in a different way: laughing\, singing\, full of swing. This show promises an unforgettable experience for the whole family. \nConcertgoers can also use their concert ticket to visit the exhibitions in the Draiflessen Collection. SUMMARY:Juri Tetzlaff - "Peter and the Wolf"
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\nJuri Tetzlaff presents ‘Peter and the Wolf’ live in Draiflessen\n\n\n\n\nExperience a magical afternoon with Juri Tetzlaff and the story ‘Peter and the Wolf’ in Draiflessen. The well-known presenter and narrator Juri Tetzlaff takes children and adults alike on an exciting musical journey that brings Sergei Prokofiev’s timeless masterpiece to life in an entertaining and captivating way. With his lively storytelling and charming manner\, Juri Tetzlaff and the PROFIVE wind ensemble bring the characters of the story – Peter\, the wolf\, the duck and all the others – close enough to touch. \n‘Unforgettable!’ When children smile as adults and remember how they loudly warned ‘Peter’ about the wolf. How they were almost carried away by the flute\, oboe\, bassoon\, clarinet\, horn and the familiar TV voice. Then it was a success\, the new version of the popular classic ‘Peter and the Wolf’ by KI.KA presenter Juri Tetzlaff and the Süddeutsche Bläsersolisten PROFIVE. \nThe story is still that of a clever boy who has an exciting adventure with his grandfather during the summer holidays. The music is world-famous. But it has never been heard like this before. Juri Tetzlaff finds his own words and their power is skilfully supported by the infectious joy of playing of the Musikhochschule-Professoren-Quintett. Stefan Albers (flute)\, Jochen Müller-Brincken (oboe)\, Albrecht Holder (bassoon)\, Manfred Lindner (clarinet) and Christoph Eß (horn) follow in the tradition of the Würzburg Wind Soloists and guarantee artistic excellence. \nJuri Tetzlaff is the founding presenter of the children’s channel KI.KA and has been organising classical concerts for the whole family since 2001. In 2014\, he was honoured with the Echo ‘Classical Music for Children’ award. His instinct for what appeals to children\, coupled with the highly professional playing quality of the Süddeutsche Bläsersolisten PROFIVE\, captivates young and old alike. The joint repertoire includes ‘The Carnival of the Animals’\, ‘Hansel and Gretel’\, ‘The Magic Flute’\, ‘Peer Gynt’\, ‘The Town Musicians of Bremen’\, ‘The Little Mermaid’ and ‘Juri’s 1001 Night Stories’ \nWhether as a family outing or as a special experience for young and old music lovers – this performance is a must for anyone who enjoys stories and music. Don’t miss out on this special event and get your tickets for Juri Tetzlaff’s ‘Peter and the Wolf’ in Draiflessen. \n  \n‘Peter and the Wolf’ is a concert to listen to\, join in and have fun. When will you be tempted to cry ‘Watch out for the wolf’? \nWe look forward to your visit and an unforgettable afternoon full of stories and music! By the way\, St Nicholas is also coming to visit and will not only make the children’s eyes light up. And in the run-up to the concert\, we invite children to take part in a colouring-in activity of the concert theme. Anyone who comes to the performance with their colourful picture will receive an exclusive autograph from Juri Tetzlaff. \nConcertgoers can also use their concert ticket to visit the exhibitions in the Draiflessen Collection. On Sunday\, 8 December\, the museum will remain open until 6 pm. \nOur museum shop will also be open for St Nicholas shopping. Here visitors can find beautiful things at special prices. \nYou are welcome to bring booster seats for children. \n

SUMMARY:Marion & Sobo Band
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nGypsy Jazz\, Chanson & Global Music\n“Absolutely irresistible”\, writes Folker Magazine about the music of the Marion & Sobo Band. Born out of an enthusiasm for traveling and languages\, the French-German-Polish quintet creates its own modern style of vocal gypsy jazz\, global music and chanson. This is not just a mere stringing together of cultural set pieces\, but a perceived living reality: the musicians see themselves as citizens of Europe and the world. \nThe heart of the Bonn-based band is the Franco-American singer Marion Lenfant-Preus and the guitarist Alexander Sobocinski\, known as Sobo. He comes from Poland and she spent her childhood and youth in France. The two well-traveled musicians got to know each other at a jazz session in Bonn. Since then\, they have been pursuing the idea of creating music that transcends pigeonholes for a cross-cultural and cross-generational audience. The quintet is completed by Stefan Berger on double bass\, violinist Frank Brempel and Jonas Vogelsang on guitar. \nIn addition to their own compositions\, the band also interprets some classics as a tribute to their musical roots in Western and Eastern Europe\, ranging from the French swing of the 1930s to the traditional melodies of the Balkans. \nThe Marion & Sobo Band shows its individuality through its arrangements and own compositions\, which sound timeless and contemporary at the same time\, and also through the varied voice of front woman Marion Lenfant-Preus. The charismatic singer presents her songs in six different languages and also knows how to inspire the audience with improvised scat singing. The quintet’s line-up also makes for a special sound\, as the band creates an energetic and rhythmic sound without drums or percussion\, which is rarely found in vocal gypsy jazz these days. The gypsy jazz guitars\, the so-called Selmer-Macaferi from the 1930s\, take care of the percussion. \nFor the Bonn-based band\, interaction with their fellow musicians on stage and with the audience is very important. Their joy of playing and spontaneity are infectious. Marion & Sobo Band unfolds on stage anew every time and no concert is like the other! \nThe Marion & Sobo Band was included in the “Musikkulturen 2019-2021” funding catalog by Kultursekretariat NRW. \nFor privacy reasons YouTube needs your permission to be loaded. SUMMARY:Joolaee Trio - Culinary concert
DESCRIPTION:Tickets\nCulinary concert – from Persia to Bach\nLyrically introverted to virtuously explosive\, accompanied by culinary delicacies\n A keyboard instrument from Europe\, a string instrument from Iran and percussion instruments from many parts of the world: in this extraordinary formation\, kamanche player Misagh Joolaee\, pianist Shaghajegh Nosrati and percussionist Sebastian Flaig explore multi-faceted soundscapes that bridge the gap between European and Persian culture. This concert will be accompanied by culinary delights from our chef\, and a selection of tempting refreshments will be available at the bar. Each of them has a different musical background (classical Persian music\, classical European music and jazz). Misagh Joolaee is one of the most sought-after virtuosos on the kamancheh\, the traditional violin-like string instrument from ancient Persia. Pianist Schaghajegh Nosrati has made a name for herself as a Bach interpreter\, among other things. And percussionist Sebastian Flaig is stylistically at home between early music\, oriental music and jazz. The young\, sought-after trio\, which moves skillfully between the worlds of classical\, world and jazz music\, delights audiences with the unique combination of their instruments and their own repertoire. Despite very different musical and cultural backgrounds\, the trio has succeeded in finding a new musical language that is rooted in the tradition of classical European and Persian music. They have a clear vision: to bring people from different cultural backgrounds together by overcoming the artificial distinction between “Eastern” and “Western” music. The trio has been working together since 2021 and is constantly developing new musical ideas and compositions\, sometimes very lyrical and introverted\, sometimes virtuosic and explosive. Often characterized by rhythmic complexity\, the trio skilfully combines these elements with the warmth and naturalness of folklore. In addition to the Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue in D minor (BWV 903)\, the Joolaee Trio will present mainly original compositions by Misagh Joolaee and Sebastian Flaig. SUMMARY:Ella Burkhardt & Band
DESCRIPTION:Tickets\nJazz under the stars\nIn the footsteps of the great Ella\nThe great career of Ella Burkhardt\, a German-Swedish singer from Schleswig-Holstein\, began with a bang in 2017 when she performed with Nils Landgren at JazzBaltica. Even as a schoolgirl\, she amazed and delighted audiences\, be it at Jugend Jazzt or when she was on stage with her father Ingolf Burkhardt\, trumpeter with the NDR Big Band. \nAt the meetMUSIC Open Air Festival 2024\, 22-year-old Ella Burkhardt (guitar/vocals) and her bandmates Timo Bakker (piano/organ)\, Gael Clément (drums) and Kjell Kitzing (guitar) will present a rousing set of soul from the late 1960s\, folky-groovy original compositions and reinterpreted jazz classics. It includes songs by Joni Mitchell\, The Doors and Jimi Hendrix\, among others. etc. \nThe daughter of a Swedish mother and jazz trumpeter Ingolf Burkhardt began her musical journey on the piano at the age of six\, followed by her first singing lessons at 13. Ella Burkhardt is a singer\, composer\, lyricist\, pianist and guitarist. And the young thoroughbred artist can also paint and act. At the Ostsee-Gymnasium Timmendorfer Strand she sang in the OGT Big Band and performed with Nils Landgren on the JazzBaltica stage for the first time in 2017. In 2023\, Ella Burkhardt was awarded the prestigious JazzBaltica sponsorship prize in Timmendorfer Strand. \nThe promising young artist has been studying jazz singing in Maastricht since 2020 and has already sung in a wide variety of groups\, whether with a big band or alone with her guitar. With fascinating ease and natural feeling\, Ella Burkhardt sings simply everything: soul\, folk and all this with the complex jazz background she grew up with and with a deeply felt world view. “She lives what she loves\,” says Nils Landgren\, who is also artistic director of JazzBaltica\, about Ella Burkhardt. She follows in the footsteps of the great Ella Fitzgerald and continues to go her own way. “Let the wind carry me\,” she says about herself. “I see where the music takes me.” \nIn 2019\, Ella Burkhardt won the “Jugend Jazzt” prize with the Hamburg “Think Big!” big band. She gained further big band experience in September 2019 when she went on tour in Japan with the OGT Big Band under the direction of Dr. Axel Ster. Alongside her studies\, she focuses on songwriting for her soul band “Ella & the Fellas” and her own folk project “Ellangton”. \nTickets online: meetmusic.de / Pförtnerhaus Draiflessen / Advance ticket sales also: IVZ Servicecenter im Medienquartier | Poststraße 6 | 49477 Ibbenbüren and at all official Eventim advance booking offices \nFor privacy reasons YouTube needs your permission to be loaded. SUMMARY:Summerwinds Münsterland | Schimmer Trio
DESCRIPTION:Tickets\nfrom Summerwinds Münsterland | Tickets\, information\, enquiries at www.summerwinds.de \nCaptivating melodies and a fine sound \nmeetMUSIC is delighted to be part of Summerwinds Münsterland again and to be setting the stage for the Schimmer Trio. The founder of the trio is the award-winning harpist Evelyn Huber. The ensemble unites three exceptional dynamic musicians: Evelyn Huber on the harp\, Gustavo Strauß on the violin and Jakob Lakner on the clarinet and bass clarinet. They have set themselves the task of exploring the boundaries between jazz\, tango and klezmer in a new way through chamber music and improvisation. Klezmer is an instrumental festive music that was once played in the Jewish communities of Eastern Europe to accompany weddings or joyful religious festivals\, such as the Purim festival\, the Torah celebration or the inauguration of the synagogue. \nThe Schimmer Trio combines tango\, jazz and klezmer into a harmonious whole. Their minimalist yet powerful performance emphasizes the emotional depth and intensity of these three musical styles in a touching way. The trio’s unique performances stand for musical innovation and creativity and testify to outstanding improvisational skills. With a minimalist groove\, the trio explores undiscovered landscapes that may seem familiar to the listener\, but at the same time bring new musical colors to shimmer and shine\, like a flowing river. \nThe collaboration between the three musicians testifies to their deep understanding and passion for the music that inspires and unites them. Their enormous joy of playing and dedication make each of their live performances an extraordinary event\, they arouse emotions and create unique musical moments that will be remembered for a long time. \nEvelyn Huber belongs to a new generation of female harpists who have freed the instrument from the corset of classical music and given it new timbres\, forms of expression and uses. Inspired by tango\, jazz\, new classics and Latin American lifestyle\, she develops a unique musical style that is carried by her sunny temperament and her dedication to music. \nGustavo Strauß is a composer and violinist with German-Peruvian roots. He studied classical music\, jazz and music education at the Nuremberg University of Music and the HMT Munich and is co-founder and composer of the “Paranormal String Quartet”. He now works as a freelance violinist in the fields of classical music\, jazz\, gypsy jazz\, tango\, klezmer\, experimental music\, new music\, free improvisation and electronic music. \nJakob Lakner is a German jazz musician (clarinets\, tenor saxophone\, composition). He was enthusiastic about klezmer and improvisation from an early age and played in various klezmer and jazz bands in his city as a teenager. After graduating from high school\, he began studying classical clarinet and founded the successful klezmer band Yxalag during this time. He studied jazz composition in Munich from 2014 to 2016. In 2015\, he founded the Monaco Swing Ensemble with friends from the Munich gypsy jazz scene. In addition to his work as a freelance musician and sideman in various Munich big bands\, Jakob Lakner teaches clarinet and saxophone and gives workshops for klezmer and improvisation. \nCast:\nEvelyn Huber – Harp (formerly Quadro Nuevo)\nGustavo Strauss – Violin & Violin Loops (Paranormal String Quartet)\nJakob Lakner – clarinet & bass clarinet (Yxalag Klezmerband) \nTickets via www.summerwinds.de \nAudio sample \nFor privacy reasons YouTube needs your permission to be loaded. SUMMARY:Christoph Spering | Bach Cantatas
DESCRIPTION:Tickets\n“Giving Bach the honor” –\nthat is the guiding principle of Christoph Spering\, the well-known conductor and church musician\, when he treats the ears of his audience to his Chorus Musicus Köln and Das Neue Orchester. Christoph Spering and his ensembles have been making the early music scene sit up and take notice for more than 30 years. In 2017 they were awarded an ECHO Klassik prize for their recording of the Luther Cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach. \nThe basis of the cantatas selected for this concert from Bach’s so-called choral cantata year 1724/25 is in each case a Protestant hymn. It is usually elaborated in a triumphant opening chorus and then reappears in a simple form in the final chorale. In the middle stanzas\, Bach used arias and recitatives to create links between the traditional cantata form and a more modern variant based on Italian opera. \nChristoph Spering concentrates with his choir and orchestra on Bach cantatas\, whose selection allows a representative view of Bach’s vast cantata cosmos. Spering’s interpretations are not only coherent\, but above all lively – which comes into its own in the beautiful atmosphere of the parish church of St. Agatha in Mettingen with its very good acoustics. \nChristoph Spering sees himself as a “modern musician” who seeks new possibilities of interpretation on the basis of historically informed performance practice and with historical instruments – for performances and recordings alike. This concerns\, for example\, questions of scoring and tuning\, the role of the organ\, or the importance of pulse and tempo. Arias are enriched with dance elements\, recitatives are deprived of all their docile dryness. The tonal quality\, spatiality and transparency of voices and instruments also allow the works in his productions to be experienced in a new way. \nSpering emphasizes that his search for new approaches is not an end in itself\, but rather “to get closer to the mystery of Bach”. He became internationally known with the first recording of Bach’s St. Matthew Passion in Mendelssohn’s 1841 version. Already in 2005\, Christoph Spering was awarded the honorary title of Church Music Director of the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland. \nAdvance ticket sales also: IVZ Servicecenter im Medienquartier | Poststraße 6 | 49477 Ibbenbüren and at all official Eventim ticket agencies \nAudio sample\nFor privacy reasons YouTube needs your permission to be loaded. SUMMARY:The Twiolins | Eight Seasons
DESCRIPTION:Tickets\nVivaldi & Piazolla\nWhat do Vivaldi and Piazzolla have in common? How do the “Four Seasons” react when combined with tangos and interspersed equally? The celebrated violin duo The Twiolins with siblings Marie-Luise and Christoph Dingler have taken on these questions and created whole new “Eight Seasons” of their own. \nSpring is all about the angels\, they die and rise\, summer experiences melancholy and mysticism\, in autumn the hunting horns are stopped by a hora zero and in winter you want to tango\, back to the south. \nIt was an adventure that the Twiolins embarked on with the arrangement of the “Four Seasons” and the tangos of Piazolla\, but days and nights spent over the sheet music unleashed unprecedented creativity. Both Vivaldi and Piazzolla have undergone a transformation\, proving new aspects in this chamber music version that these great works have not shown before. This project takes the listener on a musical adventure through two centuries and hemispheres\, eliminating the boundaries between continents\, musical borders and traditions without compromising their essence. \nVivaldi’s “Four Seasons” juxtaposed with eleven contrasting tangos by Astor Piazzolla – with the Twiolins’ “Eight Seasons” the audience is invited to enjoy Vivaldi’s virtuoso piece and to let themselves be seized by Argentine longing and passion. To bring in the sound of Buenos Aires with heat\, dance and melancholy\, Christoph brought the viola into the Twiolins lineup\, with its own depth and heaviness. \nMarie-Luise and Christoph started playing the violin at the age of seven. Just four years later they took part in the national competition Jugend musiziert for the first time and achieved first place six times in the following years. The award-winning siblings have performed in New Zealand\, China\, India\, Bangladesh\, Turkey\, Tunisia\, Spain\, Italy\, France\, Lithuania\, Austria and Switzerland as well as at national and international festivals and concert series (including Mozartfest Würzburg\, Rudolf-Oetker-Halle\, Klassiksommer Hamm\, Hohenloher Kultursommer\, Weilburger Schlosskonzerte). \nAdvance ticket sales also: IVZ Servicecenter im Medienquartier | Poststraße 6 | 49477 Ibbenbüren and at all official Eventim ticket agencies \nAudio sample \nFor privacy reasons YouTube needs your permission to be loaded. SUMMARY:Johanna Summer | Resonances
DESCRIPTION:Tickets\nUndiscovered worlds between classical music and jazz\nShe is one of the great up-and-coming talents of European jazz: pianist Johanna Summer has found her very own sound with improvisations on classical piano music. “Johanna Summer makes you dizzy with happiness with her music\,” writes DIE ZEIT. \nOn the basis of classical piano works\, she creates new worlds of sound and continues to tell them in her improvisations. Whether with classical pieces\, original compositions or jazz standards – she always manages to develop a broad\, dynamic narrative\, sometimes tender and fragile\, sometimes full of tension\, rhythmically gripping or irresistibly melodic. \nIf you listen to Summer\, you don’t have to be a certified jazz fan. In terms of sound material\, this music is not only influenced by jazz and blues; its pieces often sound like classical music. The term “jazz” is therefore actually too narrow for this music. “Improvised music” would probably be the most accurate term. This jazz musician\, who often dispenses with jazz colors\, is met with enthusiasm by the audience\, because her improvisations develop a unique undertow. \n“Her music is full of imagination and without category. Coming from European classical music\, with wonderful touch\, she has created something perfect\, her own. Beautiful music from A – Z. A new star in the piano sky\,” raves piano icon Joachim Kühn. \nJohanna Summer is known not only on European stages\, she has also performed in the USA and Israel\, among others. She has won several prizes at the national competitions Jugend musiziert and Jugend jazzt. With her trio\, she was among the finalists at the 2018 Biberach Jazz Prize; in the same year\, she became the first solo artist ever to win the “Young Munich Jazz Prize.” In 2019 she won the 2nd prize of the EASTplugged Junior Award and in Osnabrück the soloist prize of the Young German Jazz Award. In 2022\, it will receive the Jazz Pott in Essen. \nAdvance ticket sales also: IVZ Servicecenter im Medienquartier | Poststraße 6 | 49477 Ibbenbüren and at all official Eventim ticket agencies \nSound sample resonances \nFor privacy reasons YouTube needs your permission to be loaded. SUMMARY:"In the Mirror" | Sky du Mont & Mirror Strings
DESCRIPTION:Musical emotions and soulful words\n“In the Mirror”\, read by Sky du Mont and played by the quartet Mirror Strings\, promises a fascinating program for the whole family. meetMUSIC is delighted to welcome Sky du Mont and Mirror Strings to the Christmas-adapted program “In the Mirror” – contemporary music meets contemporary literature. Together\, the five artists present the diversity of the 21st century. Sky du Mont reads amusing texts in an inimitable way\, virtuously surrounded by guitars and cellos with classical chamber music enriched with pop\, rock and minimal elements. True to the program title “In the Mirror”\, musical emotions are reflected in prose and soulful words seem to echo in sounds. A perfect program for young and old during the Christmas season. \nArgentine-born actor\, author and voice actor Sky du Mont is one of the most successful representatives of German television\, awarded the Bambi and the German Comedy Prize. But he is also internationally acclaimed\, appearing in American\, English and French productions. In his engagements\, he played alongside William Holden\, Gregory Peck\, Rod Steiger\, Lee Marvin and Anthony Quinn\, as well as Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman\, among others. \nThe worldwide unique ensemble Mirror Strings combines two guitars (Luisa Marie Darvish Ghane and Johann Jacob Nissen) with two cellos (Samuel Selle and Phillip Wentrup) – a truly extraordinary formation. As different as cellos and guitars sound\, they communicate and harmonize perfectly in this quartet. \nMirror Strings is innovative and inspiring: composers from all over the world compose especially for the quartet and bring in their own culture\, background and personality. Always under the motto: no conventions – from minimal music\, rock/pop to contemporary effects and muezzin calls. Thus\, different styles\, characters and emotions create fascinating music\, written especially for the ensemble\, and an absolutely unique energy! \nConcert engagements have taken Mirror Strings to concert halls such as the Margravial Opera House in Bayreuth\, to festivals such as the Ruhrfestspiele and the Festspiele Mecklenburg Vorpommern\, and to radio (NDR Kultur). The quartet works across genres: their own arrangements and programs create a musically diverse and communicative space. Concerts of the Mirror Strings touch directly and personally\, jump from great looseness to deep emotionality and let the concert become a common moment of the audience and the musicians even in classical music. \nTickets available soon

SUMMARY:Münster Symphony Orchestra & Iiro Rantala\, piano | Münsterland Festival part 12
DESCRIPTION:Tickets\nNatural event at the keys \nIiro Rantala is one thing above all – a gifted pianist who is just as convincing as an opera composer and jazz improviser as he is as a profound interpreter of well-known pop melodies. At the Münsterland Festival he performs solo with the Münster Symphony Orchestra in Draiflessen. \nPlayful and light\, but also melancholic\, the Finn moves between genres and does what he does best: his own thing. In the process\, his mischievousness flashes through again and again. It is this musical horizon that makes Rantala stand out so much. He playfully incorporates classical\, pop or rock into his jazz with ease\, using amazing technique\, exuberant imagination and his trademark humor. With his music\, the pianist convinces even those who previously thought they didn’t like jazz. It’s not for nothing that Jazz thing magazine dubs him a “natural phenomenon on the keys.” Critically acclaimed\, winner of the German Record Critics’ Annual Award\, the ECHO Jazz\, the Finnish EMMA Award and many more\, he is also an absolute audience favorite. \nSince its foundation in 1919\, the Münster Symphony Orchestra has developed into a mainstay of musical life in Münster. Numerous prizes and awards honor the work and supra-regional importance of the orchestra. Guest performance invitations have already led to Milan\, Florence\, Modena and Tel Aviv. In addition to classical-romantic repertoire\, the performance of contemporary music in collaboration with internationally renowned composers has been part of the orchestra’s DNA from the very beginning. \nThe audience at the Münsterland Festival can see this for themselves: Under the direction of Henning Ehlert\, Iiro Rantala and the Münster Symphony Orchestra will perform music by Mozart\, Sibelius and Rantala himself – a melancholy program that will delight the audience with Rantala’s profound style of playing accompanied by the impressive orchestral music. \nThe concert is part of the Münsterland Festival part 12 and takes place in cooperation with meetMUSIC. \nCast\n Iiro Rantala Soloist\, Grand Piano | Henning Ehlert Conductor \nProgram\nIiro Rantala: Seven O’Clock Overture\nMozart: Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major\nSibelius: En Saga\, Symphonic Poem op. 9\nIiro Rantala: Anyone with a heart\, Freedom\, Final Fantasy\nSibelius: Finlandia\, Symphonic Poem op. 26 \nThe concert ticket entitles you to free admission to the Draiflessen Collection on the day of the concert. \nFor privacy reasons YouTube needs your permission to be loaded. SUMMARY:"A Midsummer Night's Dream" | Anna-Maria & Malte Arkona + Piano Duo Glemser
DESCRIPTION:Tickets\nA concert for the whole family \n“Once upon a time…” – that’s how fairy tales usually begin. But this glorious Midsummer Night’s Dream\, this story is so special\, so rare\, and so unbelievable that it could begin with\, “Oh my gosh\, something embarrassing happened to me last week!” At least that’s what the cheeky leprechaun Puck has to admit\, who has unfortunately “cast a spell”. So in fact with a flower enchanted the wrong. He would have preferred to keep quiet about his mistake\, but head elf Gisela insists on hearing the truth. While Puck tells his story\, enchanting melodies and harmonies of the piano duo Franziska and Florian Glemser can be heard. With the music of Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy they take you into the world of elves\, magic spirits\, small and big dreamers and lovers. Even the audience has to help Puck. If all goes well\, they will even get married in the end. Who who and why? See for yourself\, the game begins… \nThis is told by Anna-Maria Arkona\, more or less loosely based on William Shakespeare\, together with her husband Malte – no stranger to KiKA viewers. \nAdvance ticket sales also: IVZ Servicecenter im Medienquartier | Poststraße 6 | 49477 Ibbenbüren and at all official Eventim ticket agencies

SUMMARY:Acoustic Crossover from Ballet to Disco | UWAGA!
DESCRIPTION:Tickets\n  \nUWAGA! – are a virtuoso classical violinist with a preference for Eastern European music\, a jazz violinist with punk rock experience\, a masterly improvising accordionist with Balkan sound in his blood\, and a bassist who feels just as much at home in symphony orchestras as in jazz combos or funk bands. As “classical innovators from the coal pot”\, the four musicians have been grooving their way through the classical repertoire for years with a great love of experimentation. Influenced by diverse backgrounds between classical\, jazz\, pop and world music\, they passionately dissect musical styles into their individual parts\, create new musical worlds from them and bring “ecstatic pleasure” to their audience. \nIn all their forays through the centuries and styles\, the four instrumentalists always come up against the same questions: to make a piece of music sound\, the inner blueprint must be cracked\, the engine that drives the music. Over the years\, the crossover enthusiasts have inevitably become experts in a wide variety of grooves\, which they switch between at lightning speed and which\, depending on the genre\, are sometimes subtly smooth\, sometimes bouncy or sometimes pounding. \nSo it was obvious to create a program with various forms of dance music. Uwaga! deconstructs ballet suites and catapults them into other spheres\, makes baroque minuets and tango nuevo groove or plays acoustic versions of disco heroes of their youth like Daft Punk or The Prodigy. Their common vision: a music without borders\, which makes happy\, which goes straight to the heart and to the legs. \n \nAudio sample
